SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds

Finally! After missing that August 30 reunion concert that was cut short, eto na... mapapanood ko na! Noon rumors pa lang, but a few days ago Kaje and Ai forwarded Raimund's email that confirmed the concert. This time, MTV & Smart na ata ang producers, hindi na secret, kaya maayos na yung details and hopefully pati na yung concert. I just hope na ulitin nila yung mga na-miss kong songs nung Part 1. Maagang birthday treat na din to sakin haha.

Bilis bili na ng tickets dito, baka maubusan pa. ^_^

I've had enough of Smart!

Today I had my line cut voluntarily. I've been using this cellphone number for a long time now, and I really hate to get a new one. But I've had enough of Smart's BS, that I'd rather inform hundreds of contacts from my phonebook, rather than spend another two years with a low-quality service provider.

Try to imagine these:

- Six weeks after applying for retention, I still haven't got my new unit. After a few follow-ups and a couple of visits to the wireless center where I submitted my application, still nothing. I'm not really after the phone since I have a decent one. The waiting is killing me, it seems to me that they are not actually processing my papers, when a friend of mine got hers in just two weeks, and others in two days.

- I was about to board my plane going to the US last June when I tried activating the roaming capability of my SIM, just to know from the Smart's phone agent that I need to pay at least P2500 for the activation since I am a postpaid user. That's a total rip off!! I mean, WTF?! Kung sino pa yung naka-plan, siya pa yung walang roaming. To think that roaming is almost automatic for prepaid users!

And these are just the worst. I still got encounters with their customer support reps, and so on... For the meantime, I'll go get a Globe prepaid SIM first thing in the morning. I don't know yet if their service is good, but moving away from Smart for now is what would make me feel a little better.

One of the things that I would like to do for 2009 is to open my figures and play with them more. Among them, my Figmas and Revoltechs are the top candidates since they are poseable, and I can take different shots and while playing. I chose to start the year with these two: Revoltech Convoy and Megatron!

I hate to disappoint you but these figures do not transform. Yes, they don't. But the reason why I bought them is because they are articulated in as many points as possible, and that they are the classic TF (unlike those TF Animated versions).
Convoy (or Optimus Prime as we all call him) comes with a few alternate hands, his classic rifle, and his Matrix of Leadership.
While Megatron comes with a alternate hands and an alternate head (I don't really know why there is another head that is very similar to the main one). Unfortunately the 'gun' on his right arm cannot be detached.
Convoy and Megatron face off.
And makes those poses to determine which of them is cuter. Before battling it out for The Matrix. And the winner is, of course...If not for the very visible joints on the legs and shoulders of these two figures, I would rank them as the best among those TF figures that do not transform. They are really poseable, and they can balance well on their own, stands are not needed when posing them. They also have the classic looks that I am missing among those recent TF toys. One more thing, Kaiyodo could have provided more accessories with each figure, to ensure maximum playtime pleasure. ^_^

Trivia: Convoy is the japanese equivalent of Prime. It is a title given to top Autobots who possess 'the maxtrix. Thus, Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime.

Next to open: Figma 009: Fate T. Harlaown!

[Max Factory] Figma: Miku Hatsune

Figure Details:

Manufacturer: Max Factory
Scale: non-scale
Material : PVC/ABS
Release Date: October 2008
SRP: 2,500 Yen
Available at Play-Asia.

I recently got this poseable figure from an ebay seller, she is sooo cute that I took photos of her immediately:
As expected from Max Factory, the packaging is very excellent. Everything is well protected.
Miku's pa-cute shots:
It took me a while to let her stand on her own, that long hair seems to make her off balance.
Miku Hatsune in concert:
Now she is fired up!
Please please forgive me for the background, I'll try to get a decent cartolina next time, promise. :P

Happy New Year!

There's still some rain up to this minute so I thought it would not be a good thing for me to bring my camera outside. It is impossible to get great pictures anyway. But it would be a shame just sitting inside our house, so I went out and gave it a try. Luckily here are my outputs:

Of course I was just kidding. ^^ I got these photos not from my camera, but from my computer. These are not even my shots! These are Jeremy's attempts on capturing the highlight of the Independence Day celebration while we are on Harriet Island, MN last July. Great shots! Thanks!

Welcome 2009!
