After seeing that The Last Airbender trailer some time last year along with other Avatar movie teaser, I said to myself: What's wrong with James Cameron copying that title from the animated series? Although his Avatar turned out be quite an entertaining movie, I never did get excited about it as much as I did with The Last Airbender. And then I hoped for another trailer which was granted a few weeks ago when this was released:
This second trailer is so awesome that the waiting time is almost killing me. I really want to see how they brought Aang's (mis)adventures to life, including those element-bending techniques from the cartoons. Not to mention seeing how Appa (that huge flying whatever) and Momo (the flying lemur) will look like. From left: Appa (flying), Sokka, Katara, Aang, and Momo
Aang's bluish arrow marks from the cartoons were ingeniously made into tatoos of mixed symbols in the movie, which made him look more mysterious. The setting, the temples, the clothes, and the surroundings are pretty much how they were on the series.
I just hope that this film is not too serious (this is M.Night Shyamalan's), since the Avatar series has some really funny episodes. Also, the Fire's Prince Zuko, the main villain, is played by Dev Patel, when the whole Kingdom should have been of Chinese race. Nonetheless, this is definitely one good reason to go to the cinemas this July.
To know more about what I am talking about, here's a Wiki primer. Or better yet, go watch at least the first 3 episodes of The Last Airbender, I'm sure you'll get hooked too. :D
you'll always be a part of me... i'm a part of you indefinitely...
i've been listening to this song since friday night up to this time, hindi ko alam kung bakit. i didn't really like this song when it was mariah's, and i don't know david cook because i am not an Idol fan. but when i heard his version (i didn't know that it was he then) hehe parang lagi ko nang naririnig kahit wala naman.
i am not in love. i definitely could not relate to its lyrics, but still i find this song very very relaxing: ito na bago kong pampatulog! hahaha.
I woke up at 10am yesterday after playing DotA until around 3:30am, and after eating my brunch and doing some of the laundry, i realized i got nothing more to do. And so i turned on my pc (almost unconsciously hehe) and looked for a site where i can watch this japanese drama: Proposal Daisakusen: Operation Love.
I've been hearing a lot about how good and funny this series is, but i didn't have that much interest in j-dramas until i watched (and laughed at) the first episode of Hana Kimi. I've always found japanese girls very pretty, and immediately after learning that the one in Operation Love is so damn cute, i said to myself that i have to watch her no matter what. ^^
Released in April 2007, Proposal Daisakusen is about two childhood friends, Ken and Rei. Ken loved Rei for the longest time, but was not able to let her know and feel it because of him being a bit stupid and weak-willed (talking about a typical HS boy). Now Rei is getting married, and Ken is giving his wedding speech teary-eyed, talking about how good he and Rei have been together since elementary. After his speech a slideshow of Rei's photos was shown, with him in some of them. As others were looking at the slides, Ken wished so hard on wanting to turn back time, and let him be the one to marry Rei.
Who would not regret not being able to marry a girl this cute, when he's got the chance?

First slideshow photo where Ken will be brought back.

I just realized that it has been a year since this series was released, so if you are as out-dated as i am, go time-travelling and watch Proposal Daisakusen here at Crunchyroll. ^^
Infinite time stopped beating its heart, and humans burnt away without making any noise. Not one person notices as the world becomes dislocated and is covered in the flames of Guze.

A few days before its official release on March 25, news spread that a copy of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has leaked, and can be downloaded from the internet. True enough, several links became available, claiming that they have the full English copy (the Japanese version has already been released last year) of this very much-awaited PSP game.
Zack Fair (the main character, sorry it's not Cloud Strife hehe) is about to jump from the company chopper onto a running train, taken from the opening FMV.
This is Zack about to take care of the first babies of the game. Unexpectedly, this FF is Hack&Slash, not the usual FF turn-based gameplay that we got used to.

Bumped into this game a few weeks ago and been playing it since then. Angels Online (AO) is very much like our beloved (and hated) and ever popular Ragnarok Online (RO). Here you can create an avatar that looks like an anime version of yourself (or of your enemies, since you can choose skin colors such as green, violet, and black), and make them level up by killing monsters until you get bored or when your PC breaks down.
So why would someone want to play AO, if it is almost identical to RO? Here's a few:
AO is free-to-play-for-life. If you are so serious about it, or too ashamed of just using ordinary in-game items, then that's the only time that you should swipe those credit cards to buy in-game golds.
This is literally the better version of RO. Most of the disgusting features in RO are either removed or improved, and then new features were added (security, pet, trading, and leveling system, character build-up, etc.).
There are much more to do in AO. More than just hunting and hacking those poor unmindful monsters, there are practically unlimited quests in AO, where your help will be asked by other angels. Be it collecting monster poos for a cake, getting medicines for sick angels, or even wiping a baby angels butt, you'll never get bored easily as a new quest will be given to you from time to time for you to boost your ranks and get some golds.
RO players now s*ck. I've quit RO a few years ago because most of the players s*ck. Everyone wants to be someone, even hacking accounts, selling in-game items for real money, outpicking you of your drops... These players make the MMORPG world a little bit annoying.
AO avatars are cute. Maybe even cuter than RO's.
AO runs on an international server. This means that you'l have better chances of playing along with players throughout the world, and thus greater chances of having foreigner girlfriends/boyfriends in-game (or in real life, if you want ^^). Nice eh?
Here are some AO screenies:
I am the one riding the blue lizard. Those on piggies are my friends. We took this shot while playing at our office, pretending that we are busy working. ^^
My league-mates and I are sitting after a tiring and nail-biting battle with Asmodeous, the most dreaded boss in AO.
If you don't have much to do with your life, or even at work*, AO is one good way to let your time pass by without even your boss noticing it. ^^
